A Rialto Veterinary Tradition Since 1959
Long before Rialto was the bustling Inland Empire community it is today, it was a landscape of pig farms, horse properties, and overwintering circus animals (seriously) — and it was here, in May of 1959, that Dr. Charles Charles and Mrs. Carol Childs opened the doors of Rialto Animal Hospital at 416 West Foothill Boulevard.
More than six decades later, we’re still right here in Rialto, still independently owned, and still showing up every day with the same conviction the Childs family started with and that Dr. Jeffrey Creswell nourished: that every pet deserves exceptional care, and every family deserves to be treated like they matter.
A lot has changed since 1959. We’ve grown from a small mixed-animal practice into a modern, AAHA-accredited hospital with nine veterinarians, a passionate team of around 60 caregivers, and a feline-exclusive sister hospital next door. What hasn’t changed is our heart — or our commitment to this community.
A Hospital Built on Relationships
We’re not a corporate chain, and we’re not a quick-stop clinic. We’re an independent, family-owned veterinary hospital that’s been part of Rialto families for generations — sometimes literally, with clients bringing in the great-grandpuppies and grandkitties of pets we cared for decades ago.
That kind of trust isn’t built overnight. It’s built one visit, one phone call, and one tail wag at a time, through:
- Honest conversations about your pet’s health and your options
- Skilled, compassionate medicine delivered by an experienced team
- Continuity of care that means we know your pet — and you
- A team that listens without judgment and meets you where you are
A Modern Hospital with a Hometown Heart
Today, Rialto Animal Hospital provides full-service veterinary care for dogs and cats at our hospital at 1460 North Ayala Drive, with our feline-exclusive Rialto Cat Hospital located right next door. We’re AAHA-accredited (since 2014), Cat Friendly Practice-certified, and proud to be a multi-year Nextdoor Neighborhood Favorite — but the recognition we cherish most comes from the families we’ve served for years, sometimes for generations.
We’d be honored to add yours to our story.
